Frequently Asked Questions

Garage door repair in Jacksonville typically starts around $100–$200, depending on the issue. Full garage door replacements can range from $800 to $2,500, based on door size, material, and features. We offer transparent quotes and estimates so you know what to expect.

Not all garage door problems require a full replacement. In many cases, we can repair or replace specific components like springs, rollers, or panels. Our technicians in Jacksonville will assess the condition of your system and recommend the most cost-effective solution.
Most garage door repairs take less than two hours to complete. New garage door installations generally take 4–6 hours, depending on the setup. We’ll give you a clear time estimate before starting any work to avoid surprises.
Look for warning signs like loud grinding noises, jerky movement, slow response, or sagging panels. If your door won’t open or close properly, or if it reverses on its own, it’s time to call a professional. Regular service can help prevent these issues from turning into costly repairs.
A well-maintained garage door typically lasts 15–30 years. Openers last 10–15 years, depending on use. In Jacksonville’s climate, regular inspections and maintenance are key to maximizing your garage door’s lifespan.
Belt drive openers are quiet and ideal for homes with bedrooms above or near the garage. Chain drives are more affordable and durable but louder. Screw drive openers are low-maintenance and good for consistent climates like Jacksonville but are less common today.
Yes! We install smart garage door openers that connect to your phone via Wi-Fi. You can control your garage door remotely, set notifications, and grant access to others. It’s a popular choice for Jacksonville homeowners who want convenience and added security.
Homeowners should lubricate the moving parts, check for loose bolts, and test the safety features a few times per year. It’s also important to monitor the door’s balance and listen for unusual noises. Jacksonville Garage Door offers professional tune-ups to keep everything working safely and smoothly.
Garage door screens are a great investment, especially in Florida. They let you enjoy fresh air and natural light while turning your garage into a more usable space. Many Jacksonville residents use garage screens for home gyms, workshops, or relaxing hangout spots.
We provide labor warranties for all our work, and most of the products we install come with manufacturer warranties. You’ll have peace of mind knowing your garage door system is protected. We’re committed to delivering quality service Jacksonville homeowners can count on.

What was your most memorable restoration project?
A black widow-infested crawlspace

Xander

Technician

What was your most memorable restoration project?
We helped a contractor demo a four story sorority house. Working alongside plumbers, electricians and asbestos workers to get the entire project finished in time for the fall semester took a lot of planning!

Richard

Lead Technician

What was your most memorable experience?
My most memorable experience so far was a basement demo, filled with mold, spiders and termites. I had to put my big boy pants on and go for it!

Why do you enjoy working for CARE?
I get to meet new people every day and work with a good group of people.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Enjoy adult beverages, play video games, hang out with my crazy wife, family and friends, and snowboard in the winter.

Jordan

Lead Technician

In your own words, what is the CARE difference?
The CARE difference comes from our very name: CARE. Unlike bigger, national companies we are able to build relationships with our customers and make sure we care for each and every one of them.

Isaac

Lead Technician

In your own words, what is the CARE Difference?
We are a locally owned company, not a franchise or a preferred vendor, so it allows us to be flexible when it comes to helping people.

Why do you enjoy working for CARE?
It’s a close knit company with lots of room for growth.

What’s your role within the company?
Lead technician. I inspect, sketch, and plan out jobs, and supervise the technicians as they do their work. I also record daily moisture readings to make sure everything is drying properly.

Charles

Project Manager

What’s your role within the company?
My role as the Project Manager is overseeing all field projects, assisting with estimates, conducting initial assessments, and helping all the team members where I can.

What was your most memorable restoration project?
The largest loss that I have worked on was a three story commercial building totaling 30,000 square feet. The loss occurred from a massive hail and rain storm that devastated the west of Denver and the Lakewood area. The restoration required over 100 pieces of equipment and constant monitoring for the first week of operation. The cleanup efforts consisted of major demolition and removal of over a ton of impacted contents.

Why do you enjoy working for CARE?
Working for an organization that puts the customer’s satisfaction above the bottom line is very fulfilling.

James

General Manager

What’s your role within the company?
I oversee all aspects of a project, from reaching out to the companies that provide additional services, to communicating with insurance companies, and everything in between. If you call me, I’ll probably be at the office!

What’s your favorite quote?
You must believe you are the best and then make sure that you are – Bill Shankly

How did you get your start in restoration?
Six weeks before the Colorado floods of 2013, I was thrown in at the deep end and very quickly had to learn all aspects of the industry.
